Following is a list of items you'll see on your desktop when you first start windows,
along with a brief explanation of each.

The Internet icon represents the Internet Explorer, a windows program that enables you to attach to and explore Web Pages on the Internet. In order to attach to the Internet, you must have a modem and a connection through an Internet Service Provider.
